OUR STORY
WE ARE GETTING MARRIED (:
Our story began in September 2018 when our paths crossed for the second time onboard the P&O Arcadia cruise ship. We were there to install a brand-new show, Mr. Tickerton's Clockwork Circus. We first noticed each other at the lobby lifts shortly after embarking. Later that evening, we started chatting, and soon conversation and laughter flowed. Initially shy around each other (hard to imagine, we know!), it didn’t take long for our confidence to grow. By the end of the cruise, our shared love of mischief and sarcastic humour had blossomed into a relationship. After a magical few weeks, a drunken concert, and a romantic trip to London, we decided to give long-distance a shot.
Fast forward a year and a few months, after lots of traveling up and down the country, COVID hit, grounding everyone to a halt. At this time, Becky was living in Cardiff while Adam was in Yorkshire. We both believed COVID would only last a few weeks, how wrong we were! After many secret drives in the dark and tiptoeing around the "Stay at Home" rules, it wasn't until August 2020 that Adam made the move to live in Cardiff with Becky and the Triggs.
Another year passed, and we both returned to work—Becky on land and Adam back at sea. Despite being in separate countries and battling significant time differences, our relationship grew stronger than ever. We knew nothing could beat the feeling of seeing each other after time apart. One day, Adam had just departed from Tenerife, sailing into the sunset, when he made a FaceTime call to Becky’s parents to ask if he could marry her. They said yes!
When Adam returned from working away, it was time to plan Christmas. Unbeknownst to Becky, bigger plans and celebrations were ahead. We had planned to take some family members to "Mamma Mia! The Party" at the London O2 for a festive celebration. It was there, amidst the joy and music, that Adam got down on one knee and asked the all-important question. Becky said YES!
Now, we are finally counting down the months, days, and hours to our special day.We are both excited to celebrate the culmination of five years of hard work, laughter, tears, and a whole lot of love with all of you!
We truly appreciate your love and support over the past years and are so grateful to share a weekend of fun, food, dancing, and drinks—which we hope will be unforgettable.
With love, Becky & Adam
XOXO
